High methane SIBO-C is tricky turf. As most of you know that have it, there is very little available to help those with chronic constipation. There are also several possible causes of chronic constipation, and the only way to know for sure what your cause is would be to get medical testing. High methane levels is one cause, but you can also have multiple causes for constipation at once.
If your cause is related to methane producing archaea (similar to a bacteria) then it is microbial. As such competitive forces from bacteria can often help. See this FAQ for more information on that.
One particular probiotic that I’ve found in the research that can help control methane producing archaea (methanogens) is specific substrains of L. reuteri (especially DSM 17938, but ATCC PTA 6475 also seems to help. I’m also investigating another strain). A product called Biogaia Gastrus® has these strains. I do not like the fact that it contains isomalt (a type of sugar alcohol), but this is usually more of a problem for SIBO-D people than C.
In the research l.reuteri provided only limited relief, and I’m thinking I know why. Most lactobacillus do not make it to the end of the colon. If you consume a probiotic tests may show none of it in the stool, or a small percentage of what you took. Where on the other hand, when you supplement with phages can see an amplifying effect of 10x to 100x (what shows up in the stool ends up 10-100x more CFU/ml than what you consumed). This means the probiotic is now not only making it to the end of the colon, but proliferating. Meaning that l.reueri should be able to do a more effective job in controlling a dysbiosis of methane producing archaea.

Just came upon this – what a great site you have here!
I am interested in whether you have any more insight into l-reuteri DSM 17938 (the Biogaia Protectis product) for SIBO-C with d-lactate overgrowth and histamine tolerance?
There is some information in this file in the Facebook group “The Gut Health Protocol”. This is a closed group, so if you aren’t already a member you’ll need to join. There are different strains of l-Reuteri but I’ve seen no evidence that one is better than another in this regard.
