Pharmacist: Battle autoimmune diseases, H. pylori with probiotics – Tulsa World: Dear Pharmacist.
“H. pylori can easily survive stomach acid. In fact, it thrives in it. People often look surprised when I tell them that H. pylori can infect you all over and plays a role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis, ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura), Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and iron-deficiency anemia.”
Well that’s not exactly true. As I point out in the new Gut Health Protocol h.pylori can survive in the stomach, but only because it changes it’s environment by releasing ammonia and killing the stomach’s parietal that make stomach acid. So it doesn’t “thrive” in “stomach acid”, but it can thrive in the stomach when it defeats your ability to make stomach acid
The new book outlines what I think to be a much better course of action than the standard “triple therapy”, it doesn’t require a prescription but, as always, you should discuss it with your doctor.
